Who is eligible for this seminar?

Anyone who:

bullet    Wants to learn to officiate Ice Hockey
bullet    Anyone who was fully registered USA Hockey level 1 - 4 for  2007/2008 and makes application for level 2 or 3 is eligible. 
bullet    Also returning experienced officials who have not been registered in the last several years.

What do I need to do to prepare for the seminar?

Go online and register at USA Hockey Registration so you get your new rule book.  You must review the rule book thoroughly since the closed book test is not that easy.  You should review the Situations Manual also.   You should go out and work on skating technique so your are skating at your very best for the Seminar.

What equipment will I need for the On-Ice Session?

For the on-ice session you will need the following equipment:

  1. Ice Hockey Skates
  2. Finger Whistle
  3. Full Officiating Gear (Returning Officials)
  4. New Officials - Ice Hockey Helmet without a full face shield.  Knee & Elbow Pads.
